Dr Yap completed his medical school in Sydney in 2017 before moving to Perth for his postgraduate training. He was based in Royal Perth Hospital prior to joining Read Street Medical. He enjoys all aspects of medicine and believe in providing holistic care to all his patients. He also has a special interest in geriatric medicine, having completed his expended skills training within geriatric medicine. Outside of medicine, he enjoys soccer and travelling.

Dr. Alvin Wee graduated from the University College Cork, Ireland in 1997, completed his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) and went on to complete his Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery (UQ) with the Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery Workshop (UQ). He deals with all aspects of family medicine and but has a special interest in the skin, in particular skin cancer treatment and provides this service from Read Street Medical & Skin Centre.

Dr Joan began consulting from Read Street in January 2017, when she moved to WA. Prior to this, she lived and worked in Victoria, since moving to Australia from Malaysia. Dr Joan completed her medical qualifications in 2004 at the University of Science Malaysia and her conjoined fellowship with RACGP in 2014. Her medical experience ranges from hospital Medical Officer in the intensive Care units, Anaesthesia as well as the Emergency Departments. Her strong interest in person centred care and wanting to provide ongoing healthcare to patients developed her passion to work in General Practice.

Dr Jacqueline Koo graduated from University College Cork, ( BMedsc, Mb, Bch, BAO) Ireland in 1997. She has been a GP principal in a busy medical practice in Cambridge, UK for the past fifteen years. In 2005, she attained a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology (distinction) with Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London, UK. Prior to commencing on her General Practice training, Dr Koo specialised in Paediatrics and qualified as a member of the Royal college of Paediatrics and Child health UK in 2001. She has a diploma with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (2003) and a diploma in family planning with the Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care UK (2003). Dr Koo was a clinical tutor who regularly taught medical students from the University of Cambridge who came to her medical practice as part of their GP rotation. She pursued her interest in teaching and attained a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical and Healthcare Education from the Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK, in 2008.

Dr. Yoshi Inoue enjoys all aspects of family and community medicine having served and worked with rural communities over the years. He obtained his Fellowship with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) in 1999 and has since developed a particular interest in travel medicine and acupuncture, gaining his Fellowship with the Australian Medical Acupuncture College (FAMAC) in 2006.

Monique qualified as a registered Nurse in 2016, with the intention to work in the general practice setting. Her experience of working in the aged care sector developed her interested to provide one on one healthcare. She enjoys community nursing because of the higher level of engagement and the ability to develop a good rapport with patients.

Dr Tay began consulting from Read Street in 2015. She graduated from the University of Nottingham (UK) in 1999, completing her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) and went on to do her Diploma in Child Health with the Westmead Children’s Hospital (Sydney) in 2007. Dr. Cecilia Chong graduated from the University of Glasgow (UK) in 1995, completed her Fellowship
with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and went on to do her Postgraduate
Diploma in Practical Dermatology with the University of Cardiff (UK) in 2008. She has more than 20 years of general practice experience and has thoroughly enjoyed particular aspects to include Women’s Health and Chronic Disease Management (Diabetes, Heart Disease, Asthma, Lung Disease). She has a particular interest in non skin cancer related skin disorders such as eczema, acne and allergy rashes. Outside of medicine, she enjoys travelling, going for walks and spending time with her family. She is very well versed in not only English, but also Malay and various other Chinese languages to include Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka.
Dr Cohen Goh is one of our new GP registrars who completed his degree of Doctor of Medicine at the University of Western Australia in 2020. He has previously worked in Fiona Stanley Hospital, Rockingham Hospital and Armadale Hospital prior to joining us in the clinic. Prior to medicine he completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science within the same university. He enjoys learning from other people from all walks of life and is passionate in providing care to improve one’s mental health and overall wellbeing. Outside of medicine, he enjoys badminton and oil painting.

Dr Wan Leong graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2015. Dr. Andavuki completed her degree of Doctor of Medicine at Moi University, Kenya in 2009, and has spent several years working in both emergency Medicine & General Practice.

Dr Louise Diaz (FRACGP DCH MD, MN, BSc) is a WA-trained General Practitioner. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Western Australia in 2017 and post-graduate diploma in child health. She has a special interest in skin conditions, and has completed extra training with Skin Cancer College Australasia. Prior to her career in medicine, she trained in nursing and biomedical research. She enjoys the diverse and practical skills in primary care, and supporting patients in different walks and stages of life.
Outside of work, she is a busy mother of two young children. She likes music, exploring different cuisines, travelling, spending time with family, and listening to a good podcast.
Dr Diaz does not provide prescription for contraception or referrals for pregnancy termination.
